This manufacturing technology leverages Solugen’s chemienzymatic process to convert biobased feedstocks into high performance products for water treatment, agriculture, infrastructure, and personal care. Solugen currently has 100+ full time employees.


The candidate will lead the commercial process from conception to commercialization of Solugen’s technologies across all market segments assigned. They will lead building a sales pipeline by working with the Product and marketing teams to identify and close sales across various market segments inclusive of Energy, polymers additive, coatings, adhesives, sealants elastomers, industrial cleaning, concrete admixtures, food ingredients, and industrial water treatment. The candidate will report to the Vice President, Business Development and will collaborate actively with multiple functions and teams (both internal and external), leading our engagement with customers for new business opportunities with the right go-to-market strategy.


The candidate is expected to produce the following outcomes

  • Qualify and close on profitable sales within Tier 1 formulation companies within established timeframes with targeted goals
  • Grow our portfolio within our current customer base across all assigned markets
  • Conversion of commodity products to Solugen specialty chemical products within target accounts or markets
  • Drive new customer acquisition within assigned target markets and regions
  • Development of go to market strategies, key targets and outcomes as well as execution of that strategy cross functionally within our emerging markets

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years’ experience selling technical solutions of chemical or equivalent specialty products is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of market assessment techniques and the ability to translate those into relevant sales strategies
  • Strong business acumen and the demonstrated ability to identify winning and losing ventures
  • Proven experience structuring and closing contracts with Tier 1 companies
